the era of effort

creating content is now close to zero marginal cost.

that changes the game: if everyone can ship something “ok” fast, the value leaves ok and goes back to above average. and above average is almost always effort + consistency + judgment.

shelf of identical Buzz Lightyear boxes from Toy Story, a visual for generic content that blends in

if you look generic, you are just another one.

1) your profile is not aesthetics. it is SEO. recruiters run a mental Ctrl+F: role + stack + seniority + context.

2) content is proof, not motivation. a good post looks like a mini write-up:

  • context (the problem)
  • decision (what you did)
  • result (number / impact)
  • learning (the heuristic)

3) consistency is a multiplier. a good profile today + monthly tweaks + 1 post every time you learn something new = compounding.

if I can’t convince you, maybe Augusto Galego can with this post: Se autopromova incansavelmente

if you had 10 seconds to convince someone you are good, what would they see?
